Who we are
WhereWeLive (wherewelive.me) provides a free neighbourhood-fit tool for Dubai renters. For this privacy notice, WhereWeLive is the controller of the account data described below. Contact: privacy@wherewelive.me.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and, if you choose email-and-password sign-in, a hashed password (we cannot read your password). If you save a search we store those preferences (for example budget, work hubs, school filters, and weights). Google sign-in may also provide a display name and profile image from Google.
Why we use it
We use this data only to provide the matcher service: so you can sign in, keep saved searches, and see a ranked community list. We do not sell homes, run a listings funnel, or act as a broker.
Who processes it
The app is hosted on Vercel. The database is hosted on Neon. Those processors may store data outside the United Arab Emirates. We do not sell your data to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and saved searches while the account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove it and the searches stored with it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the account data we hold, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@wherewelive.me. We will respond as promptly as we reasonably can. This page is a plain-language baseline for a UAE PDPL-minded soft launch. It is not legal advice.
